The CEMC (Centre for Education in Mathematics & Computing) of the University of Waterloo has become Canada's largest and most recognized outreach organization for promoting and creating activities and materials in mathematics and computer science.

上海燎原雙語學校英文部學生參加“滑鐵盧數學競賽”

作為上海燎原雙語學校英文部學生的一項傳統學術活動，今年11月，我們有大約40名學生參加了由CEMC舉辦的加拿大高級和中級數學競賽(CSMC和CIMC)。

As a traditional academic event for the Liaoyuan English Division students, this year in November, we had around 40 students participating in the Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics Contests (CSMC and CIMC) offered by the CEMC.

10年級和9年級或以下的學生將參加CIMC，12年級和11年級的學生將參加CSMC。這兩場競賽, 是對來自世界各地的學生一系列能力的挑戰，幫助他們發展重要的解決問題的技巧和邏輯思維能力。

Students in Grades 9, 10 or below participate in the CIMC and Grades 11 or 12 students participate in the CSMC. These two contests challenge students from around the world with a range of abilities to develop valuable problem solving and logical thinking skills.

排名前25%的學生將獲得證書，而學校中得分最高的學生將獲得滑鐵盧大學的學校勛章。

Students ranked within the top 25% receive a certificate and the student with the highest score in the school receives a medal from the University of Waterloo.
