上海燎原雙語學(xué)校外方校長Iain校長的信讓很多外籍員工和家長們感動(dòng)，一直在滬未離開的燎原外教們也坐不住想要說幾句。正如Iain校長信中所說，現(xiàn)在不在中國的外教們必然會(huì)擔(dān)心上海是否安全。

Yesterday's letter from principal Iain touched many western teachers and parents. Some of your western teachers who are in Shanghai couldn't wait to say a few words. As the letter from principal Iain, now western teachers who are not in China are concerned about their safety in Shanghai.

未離滬的外教們立刻了市場(chǎng)部，希望能夠分享COVID-19疫情爆發(fā)以來在上海的生活狀態(tài)和所見所聞。

Some western teachers who had been staying in Shanghai immediately contacted the marketing department, they have already prepared their words that show deep feelings, taking this opportunity to express their hope and share more of their experience to the public.

小學(xué)融合部 Seth Griffiths

作為一個(gè)在上海生活和**的“外國人”，我一直關(guān)注著新型冠狀病毒在國際和中國國內(nèi)的發(fā)展情況，我不得不說，我對(duì)中國**為保護(hù)中國的每一個(gè)人而表現(xiàn)出的快速、負(fù)責(zé)任的治理感到無比贊嘆和自豪。

As a ‘foreigner’ living and working in Shanghai, I have been following the development of the Novel Coronavirus situation both internationally and here in China itself, and I have to say I am incredibly proud of the fast-acting, responsible governance demonstrated by the Chinese government to protect everybody here in China, and around the world.

中國**的迅速反應(yīng)，以及世界衛(wèi)生組織和各國**合作，我感受到了其他任何地方都未經(jīng)歷過的關(guān)懷。

Thanks to its quick response, working collaboratively with the World Health Organisation and the governing bodies of countries from all over the world, China’s government has demonstrated care and leadership beyond that which I have ever experienced elsewhere.

目前由于中國的交通管制規(guī)定，病毒在中國以外的地方傳播得到了非常好的控制，從而將其對(duì)全球的影響降到比較低，為找到治療方法提供了寶貴的時(shí)間。

As a result, the spread of this virus has been incredibly well contained, thereby minimising it’s local and global impact, allowing valuable time for a cure to be found.

我也看到上海人民和我一樣充滿信心，這是一個(gè)艱難困苦的時(shí)期，但比起中國人民曾經(jīng)經(jīng)受過的苦難，這并不是最難的。

Due to the governments effective leadership in managing this situation, I see the people here full of confidence and optimism, as indeed am I. We all know that this is a time of struggle and adversity, but it is no greater than previous struggles successfully overcome by the Chinese people.

正因?yàn)槿绱耍以谶@里感到安全，比世界上任何地方都要安全得多，因?yàn)槲抑牢覀冊(cè)谥袊鴷?huì)得到很好的照顧。

Because of this, I feel safe here; far safer than I would anywhere else in the world, because I know that we in China are being looked after and cared for.

在學(xué)校層面我也看到燎原雙語學(xué)校的管理層在處理疫情的過程中，顯示出了與**、教職員工和家長的高度合作，確保學(xué)生和家長、教職員工和周邊社區(qū)的安全。相信我可以通過精心設(shè)計(jì)的教學(xué)方案繼續(xù)為學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)和發(fā)展做出貢獻(xiàn)，同時(shí)也保障我和學(xué)生的安全。

I see that care and leadership being demonstrated by the management of my school, Liaoyuan Bilingual School, in it’s handling of the virus outbreak and how it is working collaboratively with the government, staff and parents, to ensure the complete safety of our students, their families, our staff and the wider community and, as a result, I feel well cared for by my school and confident that I can continue to contribute to the learning and development of my students through the managements well-conceived solutions, while maintaining my, and and my students, safety.

最令我印象深刻的是中國**應(yīng)對(duì)疫情的處理，看得出每個(gè)命令都是經(jīng)過冷靜的頭腦深思熟慮出來的;我也看到少數(shù)其他地方的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人想利用這種目前中國的國情制造恐慌，以獲取政治或經(jīng)濟(jì)利益。而中國的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)層只專注于幫助和保護(hù)人民，謠言不攻自破。相信不僅是中國人民，每一個(gè)人都能從現(xiàn)在的實(shí)際情況理解成為一個(gè)真正負(fù)責(zé)任的全球領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者意味著什么。

However, what has impressed me most though with the government’s handling of this situation, is its well thought out, calm level-headedness; I see leaders elsewhere in the world using this situation to create panic for political or economic gain, whereas the leadership here in China is focussed solely>

正如我所說，我為中國**和燎原雙語學(xué)校對(duì)這種情況的反應(yīng)感到無比自豪。它使我感到安全和有信心迅速結(jié)束疫情，并再次確定我選擇在這里生活和**的決定。

As I said, I am incredibly proud of the Chinese government, and Liaoyuan Bilingual School, for its response to this situation. It has made me feel safe and confident of a speedy end to the outbreak and reconfirmed my decision in choosing to live and work here.

我愛這個(gè)我定居的國家，我愛我的學(xué)校。我認(rèn)為這里的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)是世界任何其他國家的優(yōu)秀榜樣。

I love my adopted country, I love my school, and see its leadership as an excellent role model for other s the world over.

現(xiàn)在到了中國歷史上最關(guān)鍵的時(shí)刻之一。疫情爆發(fā)以來，各方采取有效行動(dòng)，控制病毒傳播，保護(hù)公民安全。盡管我還沒有真正離開我的住宅區(qū)，但我仍然看到許多積極的變化。

This is one of the most crucial time in the history of China. Since the breakout of the epidemic, all parties have taken effective actions to control the virus from spreading and protect the citizens. Even though I haven’t really left my residential compound, I still see many positive changes.

除了我們現(xiàn)在互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上能接受到的消息外，住宅區(qū)的入口處和公寓樓的內(nèi)部都貼上了告示，提醒人們減少出門，如果出門必須戴口罩。

Besides the news we can receive rapidly nowadays, the signs have been put up in the entrance of the residential compound and inside of the apartment buildings to remind people not to go out or wear a mask when going outside.

當(dāng)看到附近的人時(shí)，居民們也意識(shí)到要與他人保持距離。除此之外，清潔公司還每天使用消毒劑清潔社區(qū)公共區(qū)域。我認(rèn)為最重要的抗疫行動(dòng)是響應(yīng)國家號(hào)召呆在家里避免外出。在這個(gè)特殊的時(shí)刻，我們大家團(tuán)結(jié)起來抗擊病毒。

When seeing people in the neighborhood, they are aware of keeping distance from others. On top of these, the cleaning companies uses disinfectant to clean the public areas in the community on a daily basis. I think the most significant action is that most people stayed at home and avoid going out. This will really help. At this special time, it is important that we all stick together to fight the viruses.

當(dāng)家人知道我留在中國的時(shí)候，我的家人非常擔(dān)心，因?yàn)樵诖汗?jié)期間新型冠狀病毒的疫情擴(kuò)散得很快。然而，**對(duì)于疫情的管控措施是讓人放心的。**延長了假期，為上海市民提供了很多便利和幫助。

My family worried as I stayed in China while the Coronavirus epidemic increased during the Chinese New Year. However, the government has been absolutely invaluable with the difficulties of staying healthy.

**要求民眾進(jìn)出所有公共場(chǎng)合都要檢測(cè)體溫并在所有場(chǎng)所戴口罩，這個(gè)舉措極大地減少了病毒的擴(kuò)散速度。他們幫助我們收集急需的口罩，我們對(duì)此表示感謝。

The government has been enormously helpful in supporting Shanghai residents with the new holiday dates. When you are having your temperature checked and required to wear a mask everywhere, it is grateful that they assisted us with collecting much-needed masks through a process that reduced the chances of anyone else becoming sick.

與此同時(shí)，教育部門也忙于幫助學(xué)校解決未來面臨的線上上課的問題。

At the same time, the government was extremely busy helping schools. This was extremely beneficial as the school and staff could help keep the parents updated>

我能感受到學(xué)校對(duì)每個(gè)人都很關(guān)心，每個(gè)員工都要每日健康打卡，以排除潛在的病毒威脅，在這樣完備的檢查制度下，我很高興也很放心能回到學(xué)校**。

The school was concerned about everyone in general whether they were maintaining our whereabouts, reassuring us of returning to Shanghai or other questions that we may have. Primarily, I will be glad to be back working with the school that has provided so much support.

我們的公司育莘教育集團(tuán)把學(xué)生和教職員工的安全放在**位。現(xiàn)在對(duì)所有人來說都是一個(gè)艱難的時(shí)刻，但我們有責(zé)任關(guān)心我們的學(xué)生。學(xué)生需要老師，老師需要在這里為學(xué)生服務(wù)。讓我們通力合作，渡過這段困難時(shí)期。

At Yushen on behalf of our kindergartens and our school, the safety of our students and employees is our top priority. As a professional organization, we understand that this is a difficult time for all but have a duty of care to our students. Students need teachers, teachers need to be here for the students. Let us work collaboratively to get through this difficult time.
