電子競技是一種建立在競技類電子游戲的基礎(chǔ)上，利用電子設(shè)備進(jìn)行的智力對抗運(yùn)動(dòng)。這項(xiàng)運(yùn)動(dòng)可以鍛煉和提高參與者的邏輯思維能力、快速反應(yīng)能力、手眼協(xié)調(diào)能力和意志力，培養(yǎng)團(tuán)隊(duì)精神。許多人也將電子競技作為一種職業(yè)，國家體育總局在2003年11月18日將其批準(zhǔn)為正式競賽項(xiàng)目。

E-Sports is a form of competitive video gaming that is facilitated by electronic systems. People can develop their skills in logical thinking, quick reflexes, coordination, will power and also teamwork. In addition, many people take on e-sports as their profession and the Chinese General Administration of Sport officially approved e-sports as their official program on 18th November, 2003.

電子競技種類繁多，我們上海燎原雙語學(xué)校國際高中這次的比賽選取了時(shí)下非常熱門的一款射擊游戲——守望先鋒(Overwatch)。在這款團(tuán)隊(duì)游戲中，選手們將控制眾多風(fēng)格迥異的英雄，并組成一支6人的隊(duì)伍與對手抗衡。

There are various types of competitive video gaming. We chose Overwatch, which is a very popular shooting game at present. In this team game, players will control the“heroes”and form a six-person team to match rivals.

我校的這次電子競技比賽有2支隊(duì)伍共12名隊(duì)員參賽，此外還吸引到來自不同年級(jí)的對電子競技感興趣的師生前來觀戰(zhàn)。

There were two teams, in total 12 team members who joined our 1st video game competition. Meanwhile, students and teachers from different grades who were interested in the competition, came to watch the match together.

經(jīng)過45分鐘的激戰(zhàn)，由11年級(jí)2班主導(dǎo)的紅隊(duì)以大比分的優(yōu)勢獲得勝利。雖然藍(lán)隊(duì)輸?shù)袅吮荣悾?duì)員們都向紅隊(duì)送上了誠摯的祝賀，展現(xiàn)了燎原學(xué)子的風(fēng)度。比賽之余，許多同學(xué)在試玩過游戲后都對其贊嘆不已。這次的比賽不僅使大家對電子競技有了一個(gè)新的認(rèn)識(shí)，也在娛樂的同時(shí)鍛煉了同學(xué)們的思維能力，反應(yīng)能力和團(tuán)隊(duì)合作技巧。希望下一次能有更多的同學(xué)能參與進(jìn)來!

After 45 minutes, the Red team which was mainly 11-2 students won the game with great advantage. Although the Blue team lost the game, all the players sent their sincere congratulaions to the champion, which also showed the camaraderie of our students. After the formal contest, there are were many students who had a try with this game, and thought it was amazing. Through this contest, students gained a new understanding of e-sports. They enjoyed the entertainment as well as improving their own thinking, reflexes and teamwork skills. We expect there will be more students participating in our matches next time.
