上海燎原雙語學校于2018年9月推出了學院制，給予學生充分的話語權并激發學生的能動性。學校有4個學院，分別以紅、黃、藍、綠四色為代表。

Shanghai Liaoyuan Bilingual School is very proud to have launched the house system in the school in September 2018 to support student voice and agency. We currently have 4 houses within the school representing different colors.

學院隊長是學生，由學校其他學生提名。學院隊長由我們經驗豐富的協調員和校長直接指導。這些學生是學校社區的重要成員，代表了IB學生所應具有的各項品質，也體現了我們學校的雙語特色。

The house captains are students and are appointed by their fellow peers. The house captains are nominated by the other students within the school and are mentored by one of our experienced coordinators and the Principals directly. These individuals are key members of the school community and represent all the best qualities of an IB student and shows the bilingual nature of our school.

學院隊長會帶領自己的隊員們參加不同的活動，*括運動會、才藝表演、拼字比賽等各項多元化的活動。

The house captains represent their houses on behalf of the school at different events including sports day, talent shows, spelling bees and many different activities.
