近日，上海燎原雙語學校收到美國高中項目合作院校——伍德斯托克學院校長Christopher先生來信。

Christopher校長首先對新冠病毒期間燎原師生的表現(xiàn)表示贊賞，并祝福燎原師生、家長健康平安!

Christopher校長表示去年11月份與燎原師生、家長會面非常愉快，本期待今年4月再次與大家見面，無奈疫情讓計劃暫時擱淺。同時對于報名今年夏天伍德斯托克游學夏令營和學分夏令營的燎原同學，Christopher表示抱歉。夏令營的安排將不得不做調(diào)整，但是伍德斯托克表示會完全履行對燎原學生的承諾。

目前，盡管康涅狄格州的 COVID-19 確診病例很少，但伍德斯托克學校仍嚴格執(zhí)行COVID-19 防控防疫**。與此同時，線上課程也正有條不紊地在推進。

另外，基于對國際教育價值的高度認同，伍德斯托克學院表示堅定地致力于與我們燎原的合作伙伴關系，幫助我們學生提高英語水平，獲得原汁原味的美高文憑，并進入他們心儀中的美國大學。

Christopher先生期待，當疫情解除之后，燎原的學生和家長能前往伍德斯托克學校實地參訪體驗。

親愛的燎原學生和家長們：

僅僅幾個月前，我與我的團隊成員才一起訪問了貴校，也榮幸的跟貴校的各方進了面對面交流。這是個我們一起面臨生活挑戰(zhàn)的時刻。

“新冠病毒”這個全球性流行病毒會改變我們生活的許多方面。在此代表整個伍德斯托克學院全員，我們希望能通過這封信祝您健康平安。

作為伍德斯托克學院的校長，我原本希望在今年夏天能歡迎貴校兩個重要的學生團隊來到我們的校園。第?批中學生計劃來這里停留兩周，以獲取美國的文化經(jīng)驗，同時提高他們的英語水平，并向我們的教師學習。第二批由燎原的高中生組成，他們計劃在我們伍德斯托克校區(qū)學習四個星期以獲得學分。

然而現(xiàn)階段許多學校和機構都正在經(jīng)歷這個突如其來的變化，我們將需要修改原始計劃。請你們記得我們會提供非常相似的學習經(jīng)驗，并完全履行我們對燎原學生的承諾。

目前，所有優(yōu)先事項之?就是我們必須確保校園的環(huán)境衛(wèi)生。盡管康涅狄格州的 COVID-19 確診病例很少，但我們?nèi)詧?zhí)行了許多嚴格的清潔消毒措施。

就在我們線上授課的同時，我們的教室和宿舍已全部關閉，但我們校園中的所有空間都經(jīng)過了深層清潔和消毒。一旦校園恢復并重新開放宿舍，我們也將繼續(xù)每日的清潔，遵守**提倡的社交距離和清潔程序，并貫徹任何其他與健康有關的措施準則。

與美國所有學院和大學?樣，我們將繼續(xù)執(zhí)行必要措施，保持所有宿舍、教室和所有學校空間的環(huán)境衛(wèi)生。與中國人民一樣，美國人民也在努力對抗COVID-19病毒，以確保所有的公民和入境旅客的健康安全。

美國和中國長期以來一直是強大的經(jīng)濟和教育合作伙伴。我們相信這個合作伙伴的關系將一直保持下去。我們學院以及整個美國都明確地知道國際教育的價值。我們在美國商務部的合作伙伴向我們**，線上簽證和續(xù)簽將在國際旅行安全的情況下盡快恢復。

有關今年夏天原定訪問我們學院的計劃，我們認為我們是需要推遲整個計劃的。我們會與燎原領導層緊密合作，為將來的學習訪問制定另外的計劃。一旦我們的**再次允許旅行，我們誠摯地歡迎大家到校參訪。

Dear Students and Families of the Liaoyuan Community:

On behalf of the entire Woodstock Academy community, we hope that this letter finds you healthy and safe. We are living through challenging times and this worldwide pandemic will change many aspects of our lives. It was only a few months ago when I visited Liaoyuan with members of my team and met many of you.

As the Head of School at The Woodstock Academy, it was my hope that we would be welcoming two important groups of students to our campus this summer. The first group of middle school students planned to come here for two weeks to get an American cultural experience while improving their English and learning from our impressive faculty. The second group was to be comprised of your high school level students who planned to study at our Woodstock campus for four weeks to earn credit. As many schools and institutions are experiencing, we will need to modify our original plan. Please know that we will offer a very similar academic experience and fully honor our commitment to the students in Liaoyuan.

One of our number one priorities right now is to ensure the cleanliness of our campus. Even though our region of Connecticut has seen very few COVID-19 cases, we have implemented stringent and strict cleaning measures. Although our classrooms and dormitories are currently closed while the students are taught online, all spaces on our campuses have been deep cleaned and sterilized. Once classes resume and dorms are reopened, we will continue daily cleaning and follow all government guidelines for social distancing, cleaning, and any other health-related measures. The Academy, like all colleges and universities in America, will continue to take measures to keep all dormitories, classrooms, and all school spaces clean and healthy. The people of The United States, just like the people of China, are working very hard to eradicate the virus to make all of our citizens and visitors safe.

The United States and China have long been strong economic and educational partners and we are confident that this will continue. The Academy, and The United States as a whole, knows the value of an international education. Our partners at the U.S. Department of Commerce have assured us that visas and renewals will be back online as soon as it is safe for international travel.

In terms of the immediate questions surrounding the visits to our campus this summer, we feel we need to delay them. We are working closely with the leadership at Liaoyuan to develop plans for future visits when learning can take place. As soon as our governments allow travel again, we will welcome you to campus. As partners with each of you, we are going to be very flexible as to when students can come to campus. We know your students will be able to improve their English, work towards a Woodstock Academy diploma and enter an American university.

Please know that despite the challenges we are facing throughout the world, we are deeply committed to our partnership with Liaoyuan and each of you. The Academy is one of the oldest schools in the United States and we will continue to offer the types of academic experiences which prepare students for success in college and beyond.
