上海燎原雙語學校于2017年2月獲美國大學理事會授權成為AP學校(學校代碼：694020)，開始為燎原學子提供更多機會來找到自己的人生目標。

Liaoyuan is accredited as an AP school in Feburary 2017 by College Board. The school code is 694020. Since then, Liaoyuan is providing more opportunities to students in hopes of helping them set goals.

開設的每門AP課程的開發和建設都需要1-2年的時間，并且需要每年從大學理事會獲得評估批準。

Each Course typically should undergo a one to two year development process. Each course should be regularly reviewed thereafter as an ongoing improvement process.

AP課程

AP(Advanced Placement)即美國大學先修課程，由美國大學理事會(College Board)組織和指導，提供近40門學科課程內容及測試。

AP課程主要在高中高學段開設，旨在為優秀學生提升學術背景，幫助他她們在大學申請中獲得更多關注。全球60多個國家的2600所大學將AP作為評估學生學術能力的重要依據，并根據本校政策給予相應學分。

AP, Advanced Placement (AP) is college-level, internationally recognized courses offered by College Board. There are more than 40 courses covering a wide range of subjects.

AP courses are usually offered in high schools and aim to give students more challenges and also help them stand out in college admission. AP brings the opportunity to earn college credit at 2,600 colleges and universities across the United States and in 60 other countries around the world.

為更好地完成授課和準備考試，我們選派了四名**的AP課程老師參加了美國大學理事會舉行的培訓，為AP在燎原的發展奠定了堅實基礎。新學年的AP教師團隊也迎來了新教師的加入，通過傳幫帶來讓AP課程建設發展更好。

In order to develop AP courses, Liaoyuan sent four qualified AP teachers to AP workshops, which lay solid foundation for the development of AP courses. In this new academic year, a new teacher joined the AP team. It is hoped that AP course will see more development with the collobartive efforts.

As a qualified AP teacher, each AP teacher in Liaoyuan should develop and improve his/her AP course(s) in the following four areas.

Develop course curriculum.

Determine the general content and ability level of each exam.

Determine requirements for course syllabi.

Connect the exam questions to the curriculum.

AP 課程AP Curriculum

自2017年9月開始，燎原英文部高中開設了四門AP課程，分別是AP微觀經濟學、AP統計學、AP**室藝術、AP物理I。學習能力較強、有決心接受挑戰的40多名學生開啟了他們的AP課程之旅。我們通過授課+輔導課+考試培訓的模式為學生們創造良好的教育體驗。

Since September 2017, we've been offering AP Statistics, AP Physics I, AP Microeconomics and AP Studio Art in Liaoyuan. Our aim is to offer challenging courses to determined and brilliant students.

AP 成績AP SCORES

2017年5月，燎原學子共計55人次參加了AP考試?？上驳氖?，60%的同學通過了AP微觀經濟學的考試，并且50%的同學獲得了4分或5分的成績，38%的同學通過了AP物理1的考試。

More than 40 students experienced the teaching mode of lecture, tutoring and test prep and took 55 AP exams in May 2017. To everyone’s delight, 60% of them passed AP Microeconomics, half of whom got 4 or 5 score. 38% of them passed AP Physics I.

對于一所年輕的AP學校，首年取得這樣的成績非常鼓舞人心。我們期待在未來根據學生們對AP課程的喜好開設更多的課程。

For a young AP school, the results are encouraging. We are looking forward to have more courses offered in the future based on the popular career choices of our students.

College Board will make the below classroom resources available for all relevant AP subjects. Liaoyuan is working closely with College Board to develop AP courses.
