上海燎原雙語學校三年級UOI探究——攝影中的自我表達

上海燎原雙語學校三年級剛剛結束的探究單元主題是“我們如何表達自己”。本單元中心思想是“攝影是交流觀點的一種手段”。

In the past G3 UOI unit how we express ourselves , our central Idea is Photography is a means of communicating perspective.

雖然因疫情緣故依然受困在家,但是三年級同學們的探究熱情絲毫不減,他們充分利用現代技術完成學習和探究。利用攝影作為交流視角的一種手段,這是燎原雙語三年級本學年的第四個探究單元。孩子們發掘新奇視角,在家中利用有限資源,將各種創意十足的想法變成現實。

Despite being forced to stay at home, Grade 3 are still loving to inquire at home and were able to fully make the most of our access to technology. Using photography as a means of communicating perspective, our fourth UOI of the school year, we were able to offer our own perspectives and offer a new take on creative ideas from within our own home.

本單元探究的**步,是研究光的概念,了解光對拍攝事物的重要性。學生進一步發現了在欣賞和拍攝照片時,角度、距離、光源和模式的重要性。有時我們甚至可以通過光學幻覺來理解光的技巧。

Our unit initially looked at the concept of light, and how important light is to the way we view things. This led us to discover the importance of angles, distance, light sources and patterns when viewing and taking photographs. sometimes we can even fall for tricks of the light through optical illusions.

借位拍照技巧Taking photos by borrowing places

在學習完借位拍照技巧后,學生們自己在家完成了一些很有意思的作品。

After learning the technique of taking photos by borrowing places, the students finished their own works at home.

肖像畫Portraits

關于肖像畫,孩子們首先探究了什么是肖像以及如何拍出好照片。有一個三分法則,實物居中,并確保創意點能吸引觀眾眼球。最后孩子們將這些規則貫穿于作品中。

portraits. We learned what a portrait is, and how to take a good photograph, remembering the rule of thirds, centering and ensuring the point of interest draws the eye. These rules were applied throughout our work.

Next, we moved on to landscape photographs.

光線的使用The use of light

光線的使用是非常重要的。孩子們在探究過程中找到了有趣的方法來利用光線,特別是利用陰影。

The use of light is very important, and we found fun ways to use light to our advantage, particularly when it came to shadows.

關于攝影的思考Thinking about this lesson

Taking photographs involves a lot of forward thought, and we discovered different ways of taking the same point of interest by adjusting our angles.

完全掌握了技術,孩子們不僅可以練習拍照,恰到好處地利用攝影向世界表達觀點和想法。本單元孩子們研究了不同的傳達信息的方式,并在此過程中學習了一些有價值的技能。上傳、下載、編輯、裁剪、寫博客——在小小年紀就掌握這些寶貴的信息技術技能。

Having complete access to technology allowed us to study not only how to take photographs, but also how to present them to the world. We looked at different ways of getting our message across, and learned some valuable skills in the process. Uploading, downloading, editing, cropping, blogging – all valuable skills to master at such a young age.

孩子們也認識到了攝影可以講述故事,“一幅畫能表達千言萬語”。

We learned that photographs tell us stories, and that a picture paints a thousand words.

孩子們還發現了照片是如何騙人和誤導人的,而這種情況既適用于圖片,也適用于文字。這也是訓練我們批判性思維的好機會。

We also discovered how photographs can be manipulated and that context applies to the pictures we view as well as words we read. Critical thinking at its best.

We have inquired and studied the history of photography, the types of photography, the light of photography, the difference between mobile photography and camera photography, and the composition of photography.

Through the video, we know the development history of photographic equipment, and also know a lot about photographic composition. Look, I took this by myself!

在疫情期間,我們找一些令我們最感動的照片。醫護人員雖然精疲力盡,但為了保護我們的生命健康和安全,治愈更多確診病例,挽救更多的生命,犧牲了他們的休息甚至陪伴家庭的時間。另外,我們還通過韋恩圖對比了手機和照相機。

During the outbreak, we found some of the most moving photos. Although the medical staff are exhausted, in order to protect our life, health and safety, cure more confirmed cases, save more lives, and sacrifice their rest and even the time of accompanying their families. In addition, we compared cell phones with cameras through Wayne map.

拍攝不僅僅是對美景的向往,還有對心靈的釋放。一張好的照片是自己心靈和現實美景互為感應的結合體。

Taking photos is not only because of the yearning for beautiful scenery, but also the release of their own spiritual happiness. A good picture is a combination of their own telepathy and real beauty.

十歲成長足跡Ten years of growth

正逢三年級小朋友十歲生日之際,所以本單元設計的總結性評估是自己動手完成自己的十歲成長足跡。在和爸爸媽媽整理照片的過程中,同學們回顧了他們的成長點滴,意義非凡。

Because it's the tenth birthday of G3, the summative assessment we designed is to complete their own ten year growth footprint. In the process of sorting out the photos with Mom and Dad, the students reviewed their growth, which was of great significance.

進入10歲,每個孩子都很興奮并感到幸福。收集整理,用現代技術(圖片編輯APP )進行編輯,制作了屬于自己的電子相冊,記錄了過去十年中最美好的瞬間。

At the age of 10, every child is excited and happy. Collect and organize, edit with modern technology (image editing APP), and make their own electronic album, recording the best moments in the past decade.

通過梳理KWL表格,我們對攝影有了更深的了解,在電腦上制作十歲成長照有了更好的指導。

Through sorting out the KWL form, we have a deeper understanding of the photography unit. We make ten year old growth photos on the computer.

最后,為了完成本單元的探究任務,孩子們在線上進行了合作。這些合作充分運用了過去幾周所學的各項學習方法和學習技能。小組成員各自居家學習,合作完成項目并不容易,但三年級的學生卻欣然接受疫情帶來的反思和新的機遇,共同創作出了精彩的作品。

Finish off unit, we collaborated on projects that drew together all our approaches to learning and skills of the last few weeks. It was a hard task, to work together when team members are isolated at home, but Grade 3 rose to the occasion and produced some fantastic pieces of work.
