我是上海燎原國際高中十年級(jí)三班的學(xué)生常歡，很榮幸能有這個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)和大家分享關(guān)于社區(qū)服務(wù)這門選修課的體驗(yàn)。

I’m Evelyn from class three grade ten, it’s my great honor to have the chance to share my experience in the community service elective with you.

選擇選修課時(shí)，我對(duì)社區(qū)服務(wù)要做些什么其實(shí)并不太清楚。在這之前，我曾有幸在養(yǎng)老院當(dāng)過幾次志愿者，也十分享受陪伴老人聊天的時(shí)光。因此，我最終還是決定選擇這門選修課，想著或許還有機(jī)會(huì)去做類似的事。

When I was selecting the electives, I was not so sure about what would we do in this elective. I have been served in a nursing home for several times before, and I really enjoyed the time in accompanying those old people and chatting with them. Thus, I finally decided to choose this elective and thought about that maybe I can have some other chances to do these kind of similar things.

當(dāng)聽說我們要給小學(xué)部的孩子們當(dāng)助教時(shí)，我心里是有些緊張的。我已經(jīng)許久沒有和小孩子相處過了，也不太確定自己是否能夠和他們打成一片或是真正幫助到他們。但對(duì)他們來說，我不僅是大姐姐，更是他們生活中的榜樣，所以我們要在自己的言行舉止上多加注意。真的開始有了接觸，我才發(fā)現(xiàn)和小孩子交朋友其實(shí)很簡單。

I was a little nervous when I heard that we were going to be the teaching assistant for those kids in the primary school. I haven't been with such young kids for a long time, I was not sure whether I can be part of them and help them at all. To them, I'm not only an elder sister, but also their model in life. We need to be careful about our behavior and the way we speak. I found it was easy to make friends with them when I really start to get along with them.

**個(gè)學(xué)期，我?guī)秃⒆觽円黄鸾o圖片上色。我發(fā)現(xiàn)大部分女生在上色時(shí)都很小心，相比起來男生普遍有些草率。有一個(gè)男孩每次都會(huì)尋求我的幫助，我們很快便成了好朋友。每當(dāng)他**了一些新歌，總會(huì)在**時(shí)間唱給我聽，還會(huì)在上色時(shí)給我講一些學(xué)校里發(fā)生的趣事。我們配合默契，畫出了不少令人滿意的作品。

In the first semester, I helped those kids coloring pictures through the elective. I found that most of the girls color the pictures really carefully, but the boys are usually cursory. There was a boy who asked me for help every time, and we suddenly became good friends. If he learned some new songs, he would sang for me at once, and he usually told me some interesting things while coloring. We cooperated well, and always had some satisfying paintings.

這個(gè)學(xué)期，我被分配去幫助孩子們完成作業(yè)。有一些孩子在我們到來之后開始變得懶惰，自己不愿意動(dòng)腦子，經(jīng)常跑來向我們求助。因此，我嘗試著引導(dǎo)他們獨(dú)立思考和解決，而不是直接告訴他們方法和答案。

In this semester, I am allotted to help kids finishing their homework. Some of them start to be lazy and ask us for help very often.Thus, I tried to lead them thinking about the questions by themselves and solve them instead of just telling them the solutions.

社區(qū)服務(wù)這門選修課，從某種意義上說是一項(xiàng)公益活動(dòng)，它**我善待他人，奉獻(xiàn)愛心;也促使我越發(fā)成熟地去思考，如何在最合適的時(shí)間向需要幫助的人伸出援助之手。這樣的生命教育，也正是燎原學(xué)子走向賢善人格的光明之路。

Community service is a public welfare activity in sense. It taught me to be kind to others and devote my love, and also made me think more maturely, how to lend a helping hand to people in need at the most appropriate time. Such life education, is the light path for our Liaoyuan students towards good personality.
