作為IB候選學校，上海燎原雙語學校始終堅持踐行全人教育的使命宣言，注重培養學生的國際情懷和綜合素養。而新學期隨著外方校長Iain Riley的到來，IB課程在燎原的實施開展也步入了一個新的階段。近日我們特地對Iain校長進行了專訪，聽他講述自己的業界經歷和教育理念。

Q：Your previous working experience and position?

您曾經在哪些學校擔任過哪些重要職位?

Iain：I have previously been a teacher in Scotland, Turkey, Egypt and Japan and was previously PYP Grade Coordinator and then Assistant Head at a famous International School in Shanghai. I am an IB PYP facilitator and have previously presented at the IB Asia Pacific Conference in India and various other conferences in Asia.

我先后在蘇格蘭、土耳其、埃及和日本任教，曾任PYP年級協調員，之后在上海一所著名國際學校擔任校長助理。我本人是一個IB PYP的推動者，曾出席在印度召開的IB亞太會議和在亞洲召開的其它會議并發表演說。

Q：What's your reason for choosing Liaoyuan?

您選擇燎原的原因是什么?

Iain：Shanghai Liaoyuan Bilingual School is committed to providing a bilingual holistic education supporting cultural diversity, beliefs and cultures. Q：How do you plan to implement the IB for the new semester?

新學期，您有哪些關于IB的規劃?

Iain：Both Principal Hu and myself will work very closely together to strengthen the Chinese National Curriculum through the IB inquiry approach of teaching. This will involve staff training observing and mentoring.

胡校長和我會展開緊密合作，加強中國國家課程與IB探究式教學的融合。同時要求教師接受專業培訓，我也會觀課并予以相關指導。

Q：For the new semester do you have any words for students?

新學期，您有什么話想對學生們說?

Iain：I would like to wish you a wonderful year ahead. I am sure that we will enjoy being on this learning journey together. I look forward to meeting you soon !
