IB探究的最后一個(gè)步驟是采取行動(dòng)。為了展示學(xué)生和家長(zhǎng)都在積極地思考如何選擇健康的食品,我們上海燎原雙語(yǔ)學(xué)校一年級(jí)邀請(qǐng)了各學(xué)生家庭共同參與晨間烹飪的活動(dòng)。
The final stage of the IB Inquiry Cycle is about Taking Action. To demonstrate that students and their families are now actively thinking about healthy food choices, Grade One invited the student’s families to be involved in a cooking morning.
這一天如期而至,學(xué)生們首先制作了廚師帽。活動(dòng)開(kāi)始前,學(xué)生們被要求思考如何制作菜譜,以及在烹飪課結(jié)束時(shí)將模板填寫(xiě)完整。做菜的時(shí)候,學(xué)生們被問(wèn)到需要哪些東西,還有如何制作。在給學(xué)生和家長(zhǎng)講解的過(guò)程中,大家都了解到了晨間烹飪的意義。
The day leading up to the cooking morning, students created chef hats to wear. Before the cooking began, the students were asked to think about what goes into making a recipe, and they were given a template to fill in at the end of the cooking class. While making their dish, they were asked to think about what is needed and how it is done. This was explained to both students and their families so that all involved knew the aim of the morning.
家長(zhǎng)被邀請(qǐng)?zhí)暨x一些冷食和學(xué)生一起制作。他們?yōu)閷W(xué)生提供所需要的食材和硬件,互相配合得很好。在這期間,老師們來(lái)回走動(dòng),詢問(wèn)學(xué)生正在制作的是什么,涉及了哪些步驟。學(xué)生們很樂(lè)意在家長(zhǎng)面前展現(xiàn)他們新學(xué)到的關(guān)于健康食品的知識(shí),也被鼓勵(lì)在完成任務(wù)的過(guò)程中用英語(yǔ)進(jìn)行對(duì)話。
Parents were invited to choose something cold to make food with students. The families did an amazing job of providing the supplies and hardware for the students to use. During this time, teachers wandered around the room inquiring about the different things that were being made and what parts were involved in the process. The students were happy to show off their new knowledge about healthy food in front of their families. They were also encouraged to speak English while completing the task if they were able.
以小組為單位,我們清理了食堂,然后在家長(zhǎng)的協(xié)助下完成了菜譜。這是一種很好的互動(dòng)形式,既能享受學(xué)習(xí)的樂(lè)趣,也能吃到美味的食物。
As a group students cleaned up the canteen and then completed the recipe sheet with the help of their family. This was a great way for families to interact with their students, not to mention learning while having fun and getting to eat delicious food.
