大家好，我是海倫塞勒斯，是上海燎原雙語學(xué)校國際部高中G12-1的學(xué)生。今天我要分享給大家一些關(guān)于我追夢路上的故事。

Hello, I'm Helen Sellers, a G12 student from Shanghai Liaoyuan Prairie Bilingual High School. Today, I want to share with you some stories about my music dream.

上海燎原雙語學(xué)校

我從小時候5歲開始接觸流行音樂，在聽過美國的Pop、R&B風(fēng)格之后，發(fā)現(xiàn)自己愛上了音樂。至此之后每天都會聽歌，鍛煉自己的英文口音。后來，我意識到自己對旋律，節(jié)奏還有語言都有著非常大的敏銳度。比如，在馬路上聽歌的時候，我會跟著旋律哼唱并且幻想自己在舞臺上，會做出相應(yīng)的動作與表情神態(tài)。此外，我對舞蹈也很有熱情。我對music preforming萌生了很大的興趣。

When I was five years old, I began to come into contact with pop music, and after listening to the pop and R&B styles of the United States, I found myself in love with music. After that, I listened to songs and exercise my English accent every day. I have a very big sensitivity to melodies, rhythms and language. When listening to songs on the road, I hum along with the melody and visualize myself on the stage, making the corresponding action and expression demeanor. Besides, I also have a passion for dancing, so I develop a great interest in music performing. My little dream

在我小學(xué)到初中的時間段里，我并不是一個很自信的人，最初在舞臺上也放不開，緊張到不能發(fā)揮自己的正常水平。所以我就觀看國外一些富有激情能量的live視頻，并且尋求音樂專業(yè)老師們的指導(dǎo)，還獲得了比賽機會，這樣以來，我的舞臺表演及演唱功底都有了質(zhì)的飛躍。小荷才露尖尖角，我的小小夢想日漸清晰地成為了我未來的理想。

In my primary school to junior high school time period, I was not a very confident person. I felt very nervous when I stood on the stage. So I practiced by watching the guidance of some of the passionate energy-rich live videos and visited some music teachers abroad, participated in a few competitions. Then, I have a qualitative leap forward in both stage performance and singing skills. This is a good start for me. My little dream was becoming more and more clear.

為了擴大自己的眼界，去爭取更多的機會并發(fā)現(xiàn)更多優(yōu)秀的音樂人，我從浙江來到了上海，進入了燎原英文部高中。九年級到到十一年級期間，我加入了學(xué)校的樂隊，并在學(xué)校的很多活動中表演。

In order to broaden my horizons and to strive for more opportunities and find more good musicians, I lef Zhejiang and studied in Liaoyuan. From G9 to G11, I got the first places in Karaokay Competitions; I joined the school band and performed at some of the school's events.

我參加過學(xué)校的卡拉OK比賽，獲得了冠軍;參加了“慈善日”活動，站在閔行區(qū)的龍之夢商場里面對著一群來來往往的人們唱歌; 在燎原戶外“萬圣節(jié)”的活動中，我再次站在了金虹橋國際廣場中央演出;此外，在學(xué)校的“感恩節(jié)”聚會、在“圣誕晚會”中為全校師生們表演。而最令我難忘的是，2017年美國猶他州星河舞蹈學(xué)校訪華團來燎原訪問期間，我作為燎原表演者之一登上了舞臺，和美國的高中生們切磋，看到臺下同學(xué)們和老師們?yōu)槲覔]舞的手，我**次感受到了夢想離我這么近。

I performed for "Charity Day" at Minhang Dragon Dream Mall for a lot of people in the community. I sang songs for Liaoyuan "Halloween" at Golden Hongqiao International Plaza for more people from nearby neighborhood. I performed live shows for teachers and students at "Thanksgiving" and "Christmas". The most memorable event was the one in 2017 when a dance troupe from Utah paid a visit to Liaoyuan. I sang songs on behalf of Liaoyuan. When I saw people waving to me, I felt that my dream so close to me.

時間飛逝，在燎原就讀11年級的時候，我的生活充實極了。托福、聲樂學(xué)習(xí)、鋼琴及音樂素養(yǎng)培訓(xùn)成為了我每天忙碌的焦點。我非常感謝當(dāng)時的班主任Lana、學(xué)生處主任Lee，還有ESL老師Jenny，還有我的學(xué)科老師們?yōu)槲姨峁┝撕芏鄮椭徒o與了**的*容，我的托福獲得了較好的成績。

Time flies. Last year, I had a extremely busy G11. I was preoccupied with TOEFL training, piano classes, and music literacy training. I’m very grateful for the help and support from my homeroom teacher Lana, Student Affairs Office Director Lee, and ESL teacher Jenny, and other subject teachers. I got a good TOEFL score.

我現(xiàn)在就讀12年級，正在緊鑼密鼓地進行大學(xué)申請。目前我已經(jīng)向美國多所音樂學(xué)院提交了申請。 上周我剛參加了一所著名的音樂學(xué)院的面試。 這學(xué)期注定又是忙碌的。在此，我感謝我現(xiàn)在的班主任Jennifer老師以及校領(lǐng)導(dǎo)Harry， Lee和Peter，還有學(xué)科老師們給與我的**的支持， 讓我有充分的時間去準(zhǔn)備我的音樂作品集和面試。當(dāng)然也很感謝學(xué)校的升學(xué)指導(dǎo)老師Zoe和Jennifer對我申請方面的文書指導(dǎo)幫助與配合。正因為有了你們的支持和*容，我才有更大的信心去迎接夢想給我的挑戰(zhàn)。

Now I’m in G12 graduating class and busy with college application. Till now I have submitted my applications to several music academies in the United States and recently I had an interviewed with a famous conservatory of music. This semester is another busy time for me. I’d like to extend my thanks to Jennifer, my homeroom teacher, school leaders Harry, Lee and Peter and all the subject teachers for your big help and support. Besides, special thanks to Zoe Liu, Liaoyuan college counselor who gives me guidance to prepare my portfolio and interviews. I would not have been so determined to pursue my dream without your help.

通過多年的音樂學(xué)習(xí)，我開始錄制一些歌曲，也會根據(jù)喜好進行改編。我也會自己作曲，創(chuàng)作出了幾首自己的原創(chuàng)。同時，我仍在進行進階的樂理培訓(xùn)及鋼琴學(xué)習(xí)。學(xué)無止境，我在追求夢想的路上從不疲憊。

After years of music training, I start to make some music recordings, and learn to adapt some songs. I also compose music, write several originals. Meanwhile, I am now still take advanced training and piano classes. Learning is a lifelong work and I never stop on my music path.

我認為音樂成就了我，成了我作為一個人的一部分，成了一個刻在我心口的標(biāo)簽。我的音樂夢想編織進了我的生活。我希望通過去國外的專業(yè)音樂學(xué)院學(xué)習(xí)，使我能夠?qū)σ魳酚懈尤娴恼J識和理解，這樣我就能真正創(chuàng)造出屬于我自己的音樂。

I believe that music makes me realize who I am. It has become a part of me, and is a label engraved in my heart. My musical dreams are interwoven with everything in my life. I hope that my study in the professional Conservatory of Music abroad, I can have a more comprehensive understanding of music, so that I can really create my own music.

最后感謝父母給了我生命，讓我能夠認識自己，找到自己的價值和夢想。我會一直堅持下去的，我知道我行。

Lastly, I’m indebted to my parents who gave me life. Now I know who I am and what I can do. I will keep going and I know I can.
