光華美高第二屆英語公眾演講活動本期的話題為“What is my biggest concern for the future?”同學們可自選角度，展開不同風格的個人演講。本場公眾演講由預備班的王一荃同學主持。

**位選手潘同學以健康和安全為題展開演講，主要闡述了他對未來的兩個擔憂——健康與安全。結合未來的求學方向，本篇重點提及了與美國有關的情況，內容有理有據，嚴謹而不失幽默。

There are more and more fast food restaurant in the world.For example,there are more than 30,000 McDonald ,21,300 Starbuck,11,220 Buger King all over the world.Especially in America and China.

Do you like fast food ? Just like beef ,fried chicken ,ice cream, cheese ,bread, cake.Please don not answer the quetsion. Because I beleive that most of students all like it.Some person will tell me "I can not believe that you don not like it, "I it is imposable ! If I donnot like it where does my belly come from?

第二位選手黃同學以一首《當你老了》切入主題，由這首歌的歌詞引發大家對人世間的愛的思考。時光匆匆而逝，那些最愛你以及你深愛的人們都在逐漸老去。世界上**的痛苦是失去你最愛的人，**的損失是失去最愛你的人。因而他呼吁大家要珍惜眼前人，珍惜當下觸手可及的幸福，尤其趁著父母青絲未變白發之前，多一份陪伴，多一份溫暖。

More babies, more hopes, another baby boom should come soon in china.Perhaps my father’s age is different from those of most of your fathers. He is approximately 60 yeas old, which me make learn numerous things and realize a lot. Lind youth and energy fades away, quickly giving way to oldness and decay. To be more exact, the biggest loss in the world is losing the one who loves you most; the most painful thing in the world is to lose the one who is your most love. Under the circumstance, l think anybody doesn’t want to experience it.

第三位選手陳同學認為政治家們常用錯誤的觀念來誤導人們，以達成既得利益的目標是非常危險的。例如：我從教課書上學到全球變暖是真實存在的，這樣的教科書總統川普沒有，但是在座的大家都有。我們必須用知識武裝自己，去尋找“真理”。保持理性，切勿盲目跟風，理性的人必勝!

It’s dangerous for politicians to use wrong concepts as their weapon to achieve their short-term interest goals. We gotta use our knowledge so that we cannot be misled and we can defend ourselves ,our country and our planet. I learned the global warming is a real thing through my textbook, which I believe trump doesn’t have but you all do. Let’s use knowledge to arm ourselves and find the truth. Don’t follow suit, don’t be misled, stay calm and rational people should win.

第四位選手黃同學講述了中國人口老齡化的問題，主要圍繞著現階段老齡化帶來的一些列問題展開，演講提及到醫療和社會安全保障問題、勞動力問題和個人老齡化問題等等。他的演講讓大家對當前社會的人口結構有了進一步的認識，引人深思。

第五位選手黃同學以對未來**的擔憂為題，對他而言，“一方面，我對未來的擔憂有關于體重，它會導致我可挑選的衣服變少，以及會危害到身體健康;另一方面，在出國留學上，語言隔閡、美國槍支管制以及種族歧視都會給我帶來一定的壓力”。

My second reason is health.If you are obesities, it may cause diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hyperuricemia ,hyperglycemia and so on.Those are all over serious diseases that influence our daily life and some of which even can decrease life-span.So how do we prevent them? We can make a good diet and keep training.

第六位選手顏同學從文化差異的角度切入，認為未來將去美國留學的學生們到了異國他鄉必然會面臨很多的差異，這些差異可能源于文化背景、生活習慣或宗教信仰等方面，并提出了一些切實可行的解決方案。

Aiming at the problem of language, we need to create English environment. In addition, what we can do is to accumulate vocabulary and value the importance of learning English. And then, to direct at the thinking mode we need to increase our adaptive capacity, read English book or watch some English movie learn and try to utilize their thinking modes. Finally counter the study style, we need to catch and appreciate every chance with classmate to complete group work and not only pay attention to what teachers ask you to do in study but also attempt to find out problems and deal with them.

伴隨著大家的掌聲和評委們中肯的點評聲，**場公眾演講落下了帷幕。陳威同學旗開得勝，憑借出色的發揮以99.7的優勢拿下了本場的**名。盡管比賽中高手如云，但希望所有人都能竭盡所能，突破自我，有所收獲!
