It is my great pleasure to share with all of you here the joy and achievements of our outstanding young students for the Student of the Month and Most Improved Awards.

今天我很榮幸能跟每一位來賓分享這份喜悅，共同見證這群杰出的年輕人取得的巨大成績。他們并因此而榮獲 “優秀學生”，“最進步學生”的榮譽。

The Awards have been expanded to five categories, recognizing students who have not only excelled in their academic pursuits but also developed all-round skills and attained remarkable achievements in the domains in which they have developed a strong passion for learning. Among the winners, some are outstanding at visual arts and performing arts; some excel in ESL/Literature, science and mathematics.

獎項評選會根據下面的五個標準。獲得認可的學生不僅在學術追求方面十分優秀。他們還要發展全面的技能，在他們熱衷的領域取得卓越的成績。在這些獲獎者中，有些學生在視覺藝術和表演藝術方面突出，有些學生則在ESL、文學、科學和數學領域知名。

一、評選標準 CRITERIA

1、學術 Academic

exemplary work in fulfilling coursework提名者要在學習中起表率作用。

2、品格 Character

exemplary effort to promote appropriate behavior decisions on behalf of Liao Yuan 在提升燎原學生正確行為決策方面起示范作用。

3、自我激勵 Inspiration

displays a passion for subject matter 對不同事物展現出動力和激情

4、領導能力 Leadership

being a role model for other students 能夠成為其他學生的行為榜樣。

5、創造性思維 Creative Thinker

bringing new and unique ideas, perspective, and products into their learning 在學習的過程中能夠產生獨特的觀點、想法和產物。

I would like to acknowledge the hard work of our experienced,professional and knowledgeable teachers and Principal Albert Jing for theconcerted efforts and support in enhancing the whole-person development of theyoung talents here today, in grooming them for future leadership, and most ofall, in raising these fine young people with a benevolent mind and caringheart.

在這里我要感謝所有有經驗，學識和專業精神的同事們。感謝荊洪光校長的協調努力，幫助我們一起提高培養未來領導階層的“全人教育”?！叭私逃钡暮诵氖桥囵B年青人的仁愛之慧，關懷之心。

I congratulate all the winners of the Awards on their outstandingachievements and remarkable personal growth. I have no doubt that every one ofyou will excel in your future roles and contribute to the future well-being ofChina and the world at large, but do always bear in mind that the key tosuccess in life is not to get ahead of other people, but to get ahead of yourselves.

再次祝賀獲獎者，恭喜你們取得的杰出成就，感謝你們付出的令人欽佩的個人努力。毋庸置疑，你們每一個人勢必會擁有美好的未來，并能為國家乃至世界貢獻自己的力量。但是請記住，人生之路成功的關鍵：不是超越別人，而是超越自己。
