10月10日(星期六),上海常青藤學(xué)校高中部學(xué)生參加了經(jīng)濟(jì)競賽。在兩名11年級學(xué)生Bob和Katherine的幫助下,比賽取得了巨大的成功,每個年級都有20多名學(xué)生參與比賽。
上海常青藤學(xué)校順利舉辦2020秋經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)競賽
比賽分為兩個部分。**部分是關(guān)于貨幣的歷史知識的問答,經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)的基本概念,描述為什么以及如何使用某些經(jīng)濟(jì)圖以及**如何參與經(jīng)濟(jì)的問答。第二部分是對經(jīng)濟(jì)圖的分析,比較了同一年私人企業(yè)的**和一個國家的國內(nèi)生產(chǎn)總值。
總體而言,學(xué)生的表現(xiàn)遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)好于預(yù)期,并展現(xiàn)出他們對經(jīng)濟(jì)概念的理解。有四個組別排名**。前兩組的得分相同。他們是Steve/Benjamin組和Sunny/Iris組。這四個學(xué)生全部來自11年級。以下兩支隊伍也并列第二名:Sallie / Sue組和Lin / James組。Sallie,Lin和James來自11年級,Sue來自12年級。
所有的學(xué)生表現(xiàn)都非常出色,我還要再次感謝Katherine和Bob幫助組織了比賽。
On Saturday October 10th, the high school students had the chance to enter the Economic Competition. With the help of two Grade 11 students, Bob and Katherine, it was a great success with more than 20 students competing representing each grade level.
The competition contained two sections. The first section was question and answer testing knowledge of the history of money, basic concepts of economics, describing why and how to use certain economic graphs, and how government becomes involved in the economy. The second section was analysis of an economic graph comparing the employment of private sector jobs and GDP of a country during the same year.
Overall, the students performed far better than expected and showed their understanding of economic concepts. There are four groups that received the top places. The first two groups have received the same score. They are Steve/Benjamin and Sunny/Iris. All four students are from Grade 11. The following two teams also have a tie receiving second place: Sallie/Sue and Lin/James. Sallie, Lin, and James are from Grade 11 and Sue is from Grade 12.
All the students did a fantastic job, and I would like to thank again Katherine and Bob for helping to organize the competition.
