五月中旬，夏意漸濃，悠悠的日子悄無聲息地被拉長(zhǎng)，同樣被拉長(zhǎng)的還有午后的美妙時(shí)光。5月16日，光華美高迎來了第九期英語公眾演講，正式開啟了本學(xué)期第三個(gè)月的英語演講。本場(chǎng)選手分別是來自九年級(jí)的王子弘、羅卿桉、顧葉增和祝莉淇，經(jīng)過之前精心的準(zhǔn)備和反復(fù)的練習(xí)，四位學(xué)生都順利地完成了自己的登臺(tái)演講。

王同學(xué) Depression

**位出場(chǎng)的是王同學(xué)，他講述了一種特殊的精神心理疾病——抑郁癥。首先，他提到了抑郁癥的危害，它會(huì)影響人的思維、情緒、行為和自我認(rèn)知，影響人的正常生活。接下來，他繼續(xù)分享了常見的抑郁癥患者的癥狀，例如每天都情緒抑郁，易焦慮;在日常活動(dòng)中缺乏興趣，容易感到疲倦，凡事漠不關(guān)心;胃口發(fā)生發(fā)生巨大變化，具有增加或減少;睡眠出現(xiàn)問題，入睡困難，淺眠多夢(mèng)，容易驚醒等。此外，他還提到嚴(yán)重的抑郁患者為了結(jié)束痛苦，容易產(chǎn)生自殺的念頭。最后，他呼吁大家要關(guān)注和關(guān)愛抑郁癥患者，提醒患者及時(shí)去看醫(yī)生，以便早日回歸正常的生活。

羅同學(xué) Instrumental Music

第二位出場(chǎng)的是羅同學(xué)，演講內(nèi)容是器樂的發(fā)展以及器樂對(duì)于我們的影響。他依次介紹了早期的西方巴洛克音樂、古典音樂和流行音樂，分別介紹了三種音樂的產(chǎn)生和發(fā)展。其中，他還提到了巴洛克音樂盛行時(shí)期著名的音樂家巴赫對(duì)音樂的貢獻(xiàn)，提到了眾所周知的貝多芬創(chuàng)作的一系列優(yōu)秀的古典樂，提到了當(dāng)代由樂器演奏的流行音樂主要是以電音和輕音樂為主。最后，他還指出音樂的發(fā)展是無止境的 ，這個(gè)世界需要美妙的旋律，人類需要音樂的熏陶，因而未來音樂一定會(huì)占據(jù)更高、更重要的地位。

Now let’s move on to classical music. Does anyone know its clear definition? Alright, let me show you something about it. Classical music is serious or conventional music following long-established principles rather than a funk, jazz or popular tradition. In another way, classical music is a simple way of the Baroque music. It’s the same as Baroque music in that they both don’t have an exactly meaning but the emotion of classical music is much stronger than that of Baroque era. As we all know, Ludwig van Beethovenis the main representative. He was very stubborn and sensitive. Although he had been deaf in the middle of his life, he was very tough and so many impressive pieces of music were made and most of those are kept till today.

顧同學(xué) Time Management

第三位出場(chǎng)的是顧同學(xué)，他的演講與時(shí)間管理息息相關(guān)。他認(rèn)為我們應(yīng)該整理細(xì)碎的時(shí)間去使我們?cè)谌粘Ｉ钪凶龅酶谩１娝灾鳛橐幻麑W(xué)生，學(xué)校的學(xué)習(xí)生活十分繁忙，這就要求每個(gè)人必須掌握一定的方法來科學(xué)地管理時(shí)間，提高效率，促進(jìn)學(xué)習(xí)進(jìn)步。對(duì)此，他提出了兩點(diǎn)建議：**，我們要根據(jù)自己需要的時(shí)間去規(guī)劃目標(biāo)，我們對(duì)自己不必有太大的壓力，也沒必要把自己的時(shí)間全部排滿;第二，對(duì)待瑣碎的時(shí)間，我們可以把它們集中在一起，化散為整，這種就可以利用這段時(shí)間集中去做一些事情。所謂一寸光陰一寸金，對(duì)于學(xué)生而言，分秒必爭(zhēng)是學(xué)有所成的秘籍之一。

First, we should take advantage of the fragmentary time. Busy, working or entertaining, piecemeal time is everywhere. When doing anything, organizing your spare time can help you get more chances to accomplish your task. Of course, this is not something that can be done under any circumstances. You can adjust your original arrangements and plans according to your needs, which has both advantages and disadvantages. Making use of your spare time can disrupt your original plans and make you busier, but you will have more time to complete your tasks. If we can combine a lot of time, you will find that you have a period of unexpected time. In this way, integrating many hours into a period of time, and making good use of this period, will make your life more fulfilling.

祝同學(xué) Celebrity worship

第四位出場(chǎng)的是祝同學(xué)，她的演講涉及到一個(gè)熱門話題——追星。在當(dāng)今社會(huì)，有一種精神上的疾病叫做過度膜拜明星，這些瘋狂的粉絲就是我們所說的私生飯。最開始的時(shí)候，這個(gè)詞是在2000年被James Chapman**次使用。對(duì)私生飯而言，瘋狂的追星是一種心里上的發(fā)泄，但這種行為不僅會(huì)影響藝人正常的生活，而且對(duì)他們也有很多不好的影響，例如遠(yuǎn)離家人和朋友。所以，她最后呼吁我們不應(yīng)該瘋狂地追隨明星，應(yīng)該享受自己的生活，感恩那些在我們生活中給予我們幫助的人，努力做自己生活的主角!

The simple obsession people have for celebrities begin with people’s desire to gossip. People are obsessed with celebrities because it provides a social outlet which they wouldn’t have otherwise.In the subject of psychology, it’s called ‘ psychological prosthesis’. Of course, like everything else, there is a border, as people become more and more interested in celebrities’ life, there is a shift, from a fan to a stalker. When someone reaches this stage, they start to move away from their family and friends, and eventually reach celebrity worship syndrome.
