從小到大，認(rèn)識世界是一個漫長的過程，從實踐到認(rèn)識，從認(rèn)識到實踐，我們不斷探索世界的多面性，也逐漸形成自己的世界觀。但是，我們一直篤信的就一定是正確的嗎?有沒有某一瞬間，你對這個世界充滿了質(zhì)疑?光華美高本期演講就圍繞著“Share about a time when you questioned something that you believed to be true.”展開。

小時候覺得聰明的人不需要學(xué)習(xí)，長大后才發(fā)現(xiàn)不管聰明與否，人都要努力學(xué)習(xí)，否則就會被社會淘汰。結(jié)合自身的經(jīng)歷，我認(rèn)為不學(xué)習(xí)只依靠自己的智商是無法一直掌握知識的，因此努力要比聰明更重要。

A smart but not hard-working person and a hard-working but not smart person who is more likely to succeed. The ending is obvious, and it is often those who work hard are more likely to succeed. But I didn’t think so before. When I was young, my teachers and classmates always praised me for being smart. The knowledge they need to understand for a long time, I can understand it quickly. This leads me to think that smart people don’t need to learn. So I didn’t listen carefully in class.

一開始，我想問大家一個問題:你們認(rèn)為什么才算是正義?我曾經(jīng)相信，正義就是勇敢無畏地立即解決問題。然而，現(xiàn)在我對此看法可能已經(jīng)改變了。我認(rèn)為正義并不是一種魯莽的勇敢行為，而是一種可以在解決問題的同時避免出現(xiàn)不必要的犧牲的行為，這才算得上是真正的正義。

My topic is about justice. Before I start, I want to ask all of you a question: what do you think the justice is. I used to believe that justice was just being brave and fearless to solve a problem immediately, to uphold right things. However, I think my view of justice may have changed now. I think justice is not a reckless act of bravery, but a behavior that can solve a problem while eliminating unnecessary sacrifices.

曾經(jīng)，我認(rèn)為世界是一個黑白的地方。如果你錯了，我就是正確的;如果你是正確的，而我就是錯的。很多時候，身邊總會有人來管看我們，如果我們犯了一個錯誤，他就會糾正我們。直到在四年級的時候，我才**次意識到黑白色中還有一種叫做“灰色”的顏色。

Once, I thought the world was a simple place of black and white. If you are wrong, then I am right. If you are right, then I am wrong. Someone will always look over of us, and if we make a mistake, he will come to correct us. The fourth grade is the grade when I realized for the first time that there is a color called "gray" in the black and white.

從小到大，我自己經(jīng)歷了很多事情，也從中吸取了一些經(jīng)驗和教訓(xùn)。印象很深的就是發(fā)生在七年級的那件事情，讓我意識到推動我們前進的動力不僅是利益，還有很多其他的因素。

The incidents in grade 7makes me realize that in my opinion, the motivation which pushes us can be not only the benefit, but also other factors.

如果你問我什么時候?qū)ξ艺J(rèn)為的正確的觀點提出質(zhì)疑，我會說那是我改變對LGBTQ群體看法的時候。雖然我的家人還沒有接受這個“新想法”，但我會繼續(xù)努力說服他們。因為，無論環(huán)境如何，愛就是純粹的愛。

So if you ask me a time when I questioned something that I believed to be true, I’ll say it’s the time when I change my perspective towards the LGBTQ people. Although my families do still not accept this ‘new idea’, I will continuously try to convince them. Cause Whatever the circumstances are, Love is Love.
