Guest Speaker from Natural Selection

Liaoyuan International High School was thrilled to welcome a guest speaker, Mr. Xie, who educated students about business.

During the House period, students were introduced to a guest speaker, Mr. Xie, who had traveled from Hong Kong to speak to students about business and economics. Mr. Xie is part of the organization, Natural Selection, which leads the Feuture National Business Challenge. The Feuture National Business Challenge is a busness simulation in which students compete in different challenges and act in different positions in a mock business such as CEO, marketing, etc. By organizing this simulation, Natural Selection works to increase business knowledge for high school students and gives them the opportunity to practice commercial operations.

During this talk, Mr. Xie discussed business, economics, and his experience working in the gaming industry. After the discussion, both students and teachers had the opportunity to ask Mr. Xie questions. The students were very interested for Mr. Xie to describe his video game design experience as well as what the business simulation would entail.

Students were grateful for the opportunity to interact with someone in this industry. At Liaoyuan, we believe that students should be able to speak with business professionals in order to gain insight into future careers. Many Liaoyuan International High School students hope to pursue a career in business, and therefore found this talk both helpful and interesting.
